Event European Parliament 26th April – Promotion of Physical Activity

For the past two years, the InAbled Cities project – coordinated by the Europe region World Physiotherapy – has contributed towards improving the level of engagement in health-enhancing physical activities of people with physical disabilities, with special focus on elderly people living in open urban areas. During the project lifetime, the consortium has developed practical and innovative solutions to overcome the barriers that discourage physical activity in cities among the elderly and people with disabilities, such as the Practical Intervention Methodology and the InAbled Cities App, both aiming at supporting elderly and people with disabilities willing to practice physical activity exercises within urban environments.
 

On Tuesday, 26th of April, from 10:00 to 12:00 (CEST), the consortium of the EU-funded project InAbled Cities is holding the Conference on developing inclusive urban environments for physical activity of people with disabilities and the elderly.

This hybrid event (online and in the European Parliament) will gather all the partners and relevant stakeholders to present the main outcomes of the InAbled Cities project, and discuss the promotion of physical activity among people with disabilities and the elderly within urban environments.
